Chronicles of a Remodel – Part II

When my husband and I bought our condo in Buckhead over a year ago, we bought it with the intention of remodeling the entire place. Little by little, with a few curse words in between, we are officially done with the remodel.

There isn’t an inch of this 1,400 square foot home that hasn’t been touched. Click here for Chronicles of a Remodel Part I. Our latest and last project was renovating our two bathrooms. A project that had many twists and turns is now complete. Our bathroom projects completed our year-long remodel, and we can finally cheers to completion. Anyone want to buy it? Jokes…

Guest Bathroom

We wanted to save some money on our guest bathroom renovation, so we opted to keep the current bathtub and shower tile. We replaced the floor tile, vanity, paint, and toilet. This made a big impact, and the challenge of matching shower tile (from the early 2000’s) with new floor tile proved to be an easy task.

VanityOphelia & Co. Nallely 34 inch vanity from Wayfair. We love Wayfair! Deliveries are always seamless and so easy.

Floor Tile – Floor & Decor Avillano Santorini White 2 in. Hexagon Polished Marble Mosaic ($12 per sq. foot)

Toilet – I never knew that new toilets could make a big difference for a bathroom. We love our new Kohler Memoirs Toilet.

Light Fixtures – We wanted hints of champagne gold to tie the room together. More great finds from Wayfair. We opted for the Lecompte 3-Light Vanity Light above our vanity mirror, and the Ellicott Mills 3-Light Semi Flush Mount for our ceiling light.

Shower Curtain – 84 inch Ballard Design Amelie Embroidered Shower Curtain in white

Paint – Benjamin Moore Edgecomb Gray

Master Bathroom

Our master bathroom was a complete gut job. We completely reconfigured the entire design. We eliminated a wrap around vanity and added more storage space with a linen closet. We also replaced a bathtub with a walk-in shower, while updating our shower window. The design theme was white marble, and I am loving our basket weave mosaic floor tile.

I also opted for a half wall walk-in shower to hide our shampoo and toilet. Great idea for smaller master bathrooms.
